The Future of Online Content Creation

Jun 23, 2021

Are you struggling with creating content in your business that feels completely unheard of by your ideal client? If you are ready to create content that will attract ideal customers and make you a thought leader in your space, stay tuned. After launching dozens of courses on Revenue Online and generating over six figures, I have learned the right and wrong ways to start online courses.

Understanding How to Create Effective Content

What makes you stand out is through good messaging. It also allows you to communicate, educate your readers, and create demand. Your content is like how people come to know you. It is like the backbone of having an online business. The audience will consume your content and then eventually, they'll be wanting your product. This is a way of talking about your offer, and people will not realize that you are talking about your offer.

Self-Alignment is Important in Creating Content

Get a full alignment of who you are. Say what you want to say. Stand for what you want to stand for. Sell what you want to sell. And then survey your audience. If they're telling you to fit within the bubble, like the messaging ecosystem you created, then listen to them. But you're only doing it because it's in the alignment of who you are. What happens over time, is you attract the people that connect with you on the deepest level. You build a business because of who you are. You build a business off of programs that you want to create at the core.

Start Selling, Even Before Selling Anything.

Good content is good marketing. It’s the life and blood of your business. Most people focus on follower count, which results in a problem. They'll be like: The more followers I have, the higher sales I'll make. I'll tell you, it is not about the quantity but the quality you are offering. I have 7000 Instagram fans, it's not a lot compared to a lot of these bigger businesses. The reason is I'm not focusing solely on followers' count but rather, I'm more focused on converting and attracting the right people who are aligned with who I am, and enrolling them into the programs. And I focus most on our content, which does 70% of the selling. Most people don't realize that because the content is marketing. They don't look at it as how am I going to grow followers, and that doesn't translate into sales.

The Effects of the Gas Pedal and Brake Pedal on the Business.

There's a gas pedal and there's a brake pedal. I got this analogy from Dr. Shannon "If there is a brake pedal, there is a gas pedal - things that can move someone's business forward." But if they have the brake on, it does them absolutely no good. And that's how content works. It is by giving people all the gas pedals and how it can help them. When we can recognize a belief or there's something that your audience believes is true, and it's causing them to stay stuck, take their foot off the brake. Then you can easily remove that belief from them.

The Importance of Building a Connection

If you think no one is following you because there's something wrong with your content, I'm telling you it's not that. It has to do something with your beliefs and identity. I'm connecting while selling to build my network and show who I am on the deepest level possible. Like, there's no negotiating for me on who I am and what I'm going to say in my message. You don't need to do hard selling or what other people have done in common as long as you're intentional with being who you are and what you're releasing out to the world.
