7 Takeaways From My Chat With James Wedmore

Jun 23, 2020

If you haven't heard about James Wedmore yet, GOOGLE HIM.

He's the bomb and my business wouldn't be where it is today if I hadn't stumbled upon his course, BUSINESS BY DESIGN last year.

I was introduced to him through Kathryn Zenkina AKA Manifestation Babe.

I caught up with James recently and recorded an inspiring podcast with him and wanted to share some of my biggest takeaways.

Takeaway #1: There Has To Be a Different Way

It took James a hot minute to get to this realization.  It took 4 years of banging his head against the wall, living in his parents basement and not really getting anywhere in his business, when he finally felt that something had to give.

The idea came to him that there had to be another way of running a business (since what he was doing wasn't successful).

That thought alone is what got him to the next level.

Takeaway #2 - Building a business happens in stages.

There are MANY levels in business.

It's not just getting to the next level and you're done.

With every level comes new and different problems.

Which means every level requires a different strategy and mindset.

You learn, you make mistakes, you implement what works and you help others along the way.

Takeaway #3 - Your Thoughts Will Create Your Reality.

“What if it’s the wrong thing??  What if I’m wasting time??"

Truth is, you're actually wasting time NOT doing anything.

At least when you're doing something, you're getting one step closer to what you're really supposed to be doing.

...it isn’t permanent…  very little is permanent

The only thing constant is change.

One day it will be successful, I will make it… so I better keep it going.

The experience you’re acquiring isn’t wasting time.. it’s helping you gain wisdom.

Which brings me to the next takeaway.

Takeaway #4: Your Success Is Inevitable.

James realized that if he knew he was going to be successful one day, he would rather buy into the belief that his success was inevitable and that it would eventually happen.

That shifted things for him.

A New belief was born… Your success is inevitable.

This new belief became the context of his life.

When you see it clearly, you can sit back and chill a little.

Takeaway #5: Each Thought Carries Its Own Energetic Signature.

Not believing is never going to get you there, it's actually arguing for your limitations…

It only keeps you safe.

It’s going to take something outside of yourself to become what you desire.

You have to have the same amount of certainty like you do when you buy something on amazon.

You make the purchase and you don't think about it anymore, you know it's going to get here in the next couple of days.

It's the same for the success of your business.

When you expand your perimeter of possibility… exponential increase will happen in your life and business.

Takeaway #6: It All Comes Down To Divine And Right Timing.

If you know with certainty it is going to happen, start reinforcing the beliefs that success is on its way.

Every milestone will start creating confidence within you that you've never experienced before.

If I created that, what else can I create?

Takeaway #7: Our Beliefs Create Our Reality.

So much of our lives are ruled by our beliefs.

If you believe people are bad… you will find bad people everywhere.

They’re not bad, they’re just having a bad day.

Your brain doesn’t reflect your life.

What’s happening out there is not what’s happening in here.

Nothing is going to change on the exterior until you change the beliefs about what you think about these things.

Because you’ve adopted it as your identity.

Not until the story or the narrative changes inside, will the experience change on the outside.

Takeaway #8: You Can Create Your Identity

I AM….  Whatever you finish that sentence with is what you create.

You are the creator of that sentence.

You are the creator that creates yourself as anything else.

Create a belief about what’s possible.

If I’m a procrastinator, I can’t run a business.

You can be where you are at and still move forward from that… there is always a way.

You don’t get what you want, you get what you believe you’re worthy of receiving.

Would you tell a baby they’re not worthy??

HELL NO…

At some point they would learn that and then choose to believe it.

Unworthiness becomes a human condition.

Basically what I'm trying to sum up is that you're worthy AF and your success is inevitable.  So stop worrying about things that aren't going to move you closer to your goal.  Start creating new beliefs and create the identity YOU desire for yourself.
